NWF and Ani Choying Drolma have been donating and supporting various projects. Some of the donations made till now are as follow:

Bio gas is a highly valuable energy source that can produce electricity and heat. Biogas (methane and carbon dioxide) is formed by the decomposition of organic matter in an oxygen-free environment. This method offers an attractive alternative of handling organic waste since most of the carbon dioxide in the waste is converted to bio gas, and the nutrients from the waste remains in the digestive  residue. Bio gas production was considered by us with the aim to generate ash-free cooking gas, thereby drastically reducing costs of using other fuel products. Same time it is environment–friendly. The process of bio-gas production at Arya Tara is under construction and will be complete in the middle of January 2009.

Part of the costs has been kindly funded by Kesang Doma Sherpa, CEO of Charity and Challenges and Sherpa Trekking Services, Sheela Raj, Isabelle Repaille, NGO H.O.P.E, and HIMAVAN from France. The rest of the costs has been borne by NWF.

 

Bodhi Television is an all traditional Buddhist channel that is broadcast over the Internet incorporating various Buddhist Traditions that include southern and northern Buddhist systems. Ani Choying Drolma donated money to Bodhi TV to help finance the broadcast of some Buddhist teachings on National Nepal TV (NTV). Bodhi TV is the first station to focus on Buddhism and to make its teachings available through the mass media. Bodhi Television programming will include Buddhist Doctrines, Philosophy and commentary on Buddhist teachings, which is an unbroken line since the time of Lord Buddha.

 

The sources on which the programming will be based will include Pali Sources, Sanskrit Sources, Tibetan, Thai, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Simhala, Burmese etc. and other localized Sources and new languages in which the Dharma has flourished in the past century. Bodhi Television is a common platform for a network of individuals, Buddhist sanghas, organizations, centers, and the entire world community. We aim to help facilitate a large framework for coordination and cooperation among different traditions as well as with other centers scattered throughout the world and which we believe will be instrumental to learning across cultures and traditions. Nepal Sports Dance Training Insitute (NSDTI) is the first of its kind of Nepal promoting a B Boy/ B Girl movement started by youth for youth.  The Healthy Youth- Healthy New Nepal concept of NSDTI aims at keeping young people away from the drugs and violence and also to cultivate a healthy life style in their own way.  It supports young people through capacity building and employment generation in the field of Free Style Sport Dance.
