Released on 1st of October 2011, Ani Choying’s book – Phoolko Ankhama sells out in just 2 days. The book deals with Ani Choying's heart-rending story of her childhood and her decision to become a nun. This is told in simple, yet deep prose. Very early in life, Ani Choying learnt to be self-reliant, and was motivated to take up the challenges of life, and to help others like her.

“The 1st supply was over in a just a day and the demand pours in. This is a very rare opportunity for a distributor,” said Anjan Shrestha of Education Book House as he was organizing for Ani’s signing event at his book store.

“Upon request of the distributor, we have placed a 2nd print run order to the press,” confirmed Kiran Shrestha of publication nepa~laya.

Phoolko Ankhama is the Nepali translation of the original published in French in 2008 by Oh! Editions. French writer, Laurence Debril
collaborated with Ani Choying in structuring the story. Since then, the book has been published in 12 languages: French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, English, Portuguese, Russian, Polish, Slovenian and Hungarian.

The Nepali edition of the book has been translated in collaboration with
Girish Giri.

“I am nervous about people knowing my life. However I wish my life experiences become helpful for people to think positive. Says Ani Choying. “World of compassion is always a better place to be than the world of hatred.” She adds.

The book is published by publication nepa~laya and distributed by Education book house.

Under the umbrella of Nuns’ Welfare Foundation and in cooperation with Prison Assistance Nepal (PAN) the social activist and singer Ani Choying Drolma donated 25.000NRS in order to pay for the bail amount of four (4) imprisoned women from the Kathmandu jail.

Three of the four women had to face the poor and appalling prison environment because they were unable to pay the fine of 5000 NRS/person for false documents. They had been issued with falsified travel documents by some agents who are the real perpetrators in these cases. The women wanted to escape from their deprived living circumstances and looked for job opportunities abroad in order to support their children and families in Nepal. In spite of commencement with the new job in a foreign country they had been caught by custom officers and were send to prison in Kathmandu as they had no money to pay the sentence bail ordered by the immigration office.
