On February 14th, 2010, the Thanka School conducted its second year art competiton under two categories; Traditional Thanka Painting and Modern Art. The Traditional Thanka Painting students were to draw the portrait of Manjushree in full clothes, and similarly, the modern art students were to draw the portrait of Mahatma Gandi.
Ani Chemi Lhamo were announced the winner of Tradational Thanka Painting and Ani Diki Dolma were announced the winner of Modern Art competition. Ms. Dil Shova Shrestha,founder of Ama Ko Ghar (Old Age Home) did the honours of prize distribution on the occasion of Loshar.
The main objective to introduce an art division in the school was to flourish the hidden artist inside a simple nun.
